Exterior paint in Perth rarely fails because the paint was bad. It fails because the surface was not washed, because filler went on without primer, or because a coating rated for a mild east-coast climate was put on a west-facing wall that takes full afternoon sun every day of summer.
Our exterior process starts with a pressure wash to remove chalking, salt deposit and mould, then repair and fill, then spot-priming of every bare or patched area. Only then does the topcoat system go on, and it is chosen for the substrate and the elevation.
Limestone and render need breathable systems that let moisture move. Weatherboard needs flexibility for expansion. Face brick needs a sealer that will not trap water behind the coating. Getting that specification right is most of the job.
